An important settlement for almost two millennia, today London is an international centre for business, politics, education, entertainment, fashion, media and the arts. An exciting and cosmopolitan city, where more than 300 languages are spoken every day, London is at the heart of contemporary culture and innovation. In 2012, London will also become an Olympic city and the intervening years will see numerous exciting developments and opportunities.

The city is a major centre of international financial services - 119 financial services firms from 31 countries have their offices in New York. It is also a world capital for many other industries, including media, marketing, retail, real estate, fashion, arts and entertainment, and manufacturing.
